The pieces we collect over the years —
The pottery, the knickknacks and the paintings —
May well make little sense to those who visit,
But to us each gift or purchase tells a story
(Those that don’t will get tossed out along the way)
Of a friendship, an adventure,
Or a place that brings fond memories to mind;
Some enchantment, brief or lasting
Whose echoes we’re reluctant to discard…
