It’s funny, how the red and green of Christmas
Keep resonating after the holiday’s end:
Did the rooster wander over on purpose,
Knowing his wattle against the grass
Would echo the berries in the holly tree?
Or his feathers reflect the trunk?
Of course not!
It’s simply an accidental concurrence,
But amusing to note, all the same —
One of many small blessings
To warm the watching photographer’s heart.
