A small piece I developed as a class exercise
Appealed to a friend, so I gave it away.
She took it to a framer — much to my surprise —
And now look: it’s a lovely piece of art!
We must never forget
What a difference context makes:
There’s a gift in learning to see
The special potential that can emerge
From a carefully considered collaboration.
Working together, it can be possible to produce
Something new and unexpected;
A delightful, more creative,
And even more appealing whole.
