As parents, we do our best
To teach our children the skills they’ll need
To find their way into a world
We’ll never fully know or understand.
But inevitably that day comes
When we must turn them loose
And watch them swim away,
Trusting they’ll have the courage,
The strength, endurance, and good fortune
To arrive safely at their chosen shore…
