Yesterday I went into my studio
To repair a failed painting,
And this is what emerged —
But why? And then I realized
A good friend and my daughter
Are both spending this week
In French and Italian castles, posting pictures,
While another friend is moving to France.
My subconscious has apparently
Gone with them on their journeys!
