There’s something about community,
About living together in the shadows of power,
Whether mountains, weather,
And the threat of high seas,
Or political machinations that challenge
Beliefs, health, safety, and livelihood,
That makes us long to reach out and trust
Across differences that once seemed
Irreconcilable.
