At night I ask the moon

"At night, I open the window
and ask the moon to come
and press its face against mine.
Breathe into me.

Close the language-door
and open the love-window.

The moon won't use the door,
only the window."

What a great little Rumi this is! Perfectly paired with your image, too.

I love everything you've ever posted (and I've ever heard) that Rumi has written, and this is no exception.
I could substitute the word "God" for the word "moon." And swap "In the morning" for "At night," and it would describing be my prayers.
Thank you for posting this.
