We are, each of us, such complex beings,
And so often unaware
That beneath the wounds and scars
That color our personalities
We might find a different color altogether.
What if we were to peel
Our prejudicial assumptions back?
Could we learn to trust again,
Or would the vulnerability prove our undoing?
