Now that we see this aging boat,
Her imperfections highlighted,
Is all we have to keep us all afloat,
Let’s not abandon ship, but make
An effort to repair her leaks,
The seats that only hold the few,
The oarlocks that no longer allow
Us all to stay on course,
That we might once again embark,
Journeying together to a brighter future.
