It’s always a dance, isn’t it —
Trying to be attentive
To the wisdom and the beauty of the now
While remaining aware of its context...
Past and future moments
Can so easily overshadow and obscure,
Dominating our thoughts
Until we become so focused
On that looming, larger picture
That we never even notice
The simple grace that’s blooming right before our eyes.
