Change is rarely easy

Change is rarely easy
The grass on the other side
may look quite tempting;
the scent of possible success alluring;
the delicate sprinkle of flowers
enchanted, and inviting.
The transition might appear simple,
brief, no sudden curves,
and solid underfoot.

Nonetheless: come prepared.
Bring your machete, your axe --
whatever you'll need to cut through
all those mistaken assumptions.
Change is rarely easy...
