It doesn't need
to be a perfect sunset;
the chairs need not be wood,
or even all that comfortable.
The day need not be warm,
although dry helps,
and there may not be someone
to keep you company this time.
What matters is the stillness,
and the light;
the quiet and the color,
the sense of peace
and a day that's closing,
leaving all the care behind
and slipping into night.
