Be not ashamed of aging

Oh golden one, don’t hide your face,
Ashamed your sunny locks grow thin, bedraggled,
Your complexion mottled:
Those who love you see the seeds you’ve lost
Enumerate the birds you must have fed
And those you’ve yet to feed;
The countless futures enriched
By the nourishment you provide
In simply being the magnificence you are.
