When I first read this one it rubbed me the wrong way, actually made me angry. I thought it is not the Lord that makes anything hard for us, it is the obstacles that we place in our own path that makes things difficult. He presents us with all the options, we put the blinders on and choose the journey. Reading it again today, I can finally articulate what made me angry....I read it as blaming the Lord for our own free will. I thank you for the opportunity of growth you allow with your words.
