and echo down the corridors of thought,

pour out your lips and soften all the angry words and images

that cast their ugly colors on a world that thirsts for love.

Alternatives to fear

How it is is not how it appears:

this burning may be making way

for some new, brighter, light to come.

Be patient, act wisely, and be kind to all you meet, 

for many are now living in fear.

Channeling your flow

Whatever the trials you struggle with today,

Don't think of them as limitations;

Think of them as riverbanks,

Each loss, some new beginning

Each year I stand, and watch in awe

as the maples shed their golden leaves:

their exuberant flaming up and dying moves me.

But still, I never seem to learn the lesson of the trees...
